When I am supposed to be resting, I start writing instead. It makes me feel productive without having to do all the heavy lifting.
These last few days have been interesting. I feel kind of helpless. I know that 9 month pregnant woman shouldn't do heavy lifting of boxes, or bend down too much, all that jazz, but seriously... how do things get done if I don't? Jimmy is pretty occupied with the write-on and research, and I don't want him to feel like he has to do all the packing stuff by himself. So, I let him work and I do projects that don't seem too strenuous. And I sneakily carry a box or two. Don't worry, they are not that heavy. Jimmy still gives me the Cooprider stare when he catches me so I don't do it often. Plus, I don't want to go into labor just yet.
Today we delivered two more car loads to our "storage" space. We disassembled a few more bookcases/furniture, and took all our clothes and starting putting them in suitcases. We are constantly filling boxes, and moving things around. Hopefully by early next week most of our apartment will be packed and we can begin cleaning. I am determined to clean the apartment to the point that it looks better than when we first arrived.
Funny story. Last night before I went to bed, Mini Coop was doing fetal gymnastics and consequently it took me a little longer to fall asleep. I think because of her movement I had the following dream. Jimmy and I were with some of his friends from law school when Mini Coop began some pretty intense movement. So intense that I could make out a foot with toes protruding from my belly. When I counted the number of toes on her foot she had 7. Yes, I dreamed our little Mini Coop had 7 toes! Later in the dream one of the law students saw the foot and began to tug at it and by doing so the entire leg our baby began to appear. Remember the baby is still inside my belly. I must have very elastic skin, or at least in my dreams I do. Funny, funny dreams.
Only 5 days until we leave. Can Mini Coop hold out? We will see.....
By the way, Happy early Mother's Day!
You deserve the early Happy Mother's Day. Hang in there but be careful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day! I was 37 weeks pregnant last year...so I know it's kind of lame almost being there, but not quite! :)
ReplyDeletebahah, she's already taking after me!
ReplyDeleteI remember having a crazy dream when I was about that pregnant with Emma. When I was almost full-term Kenneth found me rearranging furniture and I also got a pretty good stare-down and a talking to. He was also in the middle of finals and I felt so helpless and wanted to get things done before my mom came to help with the new baby. I hope that little one waits til you get to your new place! Good luck!
